JustPlot – Multiple Plots
JustPlot is developed to plot data from .csv file in a quick and easy manner. Maximum file size can be loaded is 5 megabyte. Default data can be used for demonstration purposes. Click dropdown under ‘select data’ to choose a dataset. A preview of loaded data will be shown on right if you are in ‘Table’ tab.
Load .csv file by clicking on ‘Browse’ under ‘Load Data from CSV File’. If data is loaded successful, you will see ‘upload complete’ dialogue appears under ‘Browse’. A preview of the data will be shown on right with number of rows and columns.
Once data is loaded, go to ‘Plot’ tab. Under X-Variable and Y-Variable dropdown, all column names from loaded dataset will be populated. Select the columns you want in X and Y-axis of the plot.
If ‘carat’ is selected as X-Variable and ‘price’ is selected as Y-Variable, the plot will look like this.
Choose any axis as Color-Variable to obtain either color gradient for continuous variable or different colors for discrete variable. Plot will look like this once column ‘color’ is selected as Color-Variable.
Facet Variables are used to create subplots. Each categories under Facet Variable will create individual subplot in the plot area. Categories under the selected column will be shown on each subplot. If we choose column ‘color’ as 1st Facet Variable, the plot will look like this. Categories ‘D’ to ‘J’ of ‘color’ column are shown on each plot.
Plot can be further subdivided by choosing 2nd Facet Variable. Now, both categories will be shown to top of each plot. Choosing column ‘cut’ on 2nd Facet Variable, the plot will look like this.
